Doechiii Wins Best Rap Album

Doechii celebrated her historic win for Best Rap Album with Alligator Bites Never Heal in a bold Thom Browne ensemble. Dressed in extremely wide pants, she wobbled onto the stage, where Cardi B presented her with the award. “I wanna tell you, you can do it. Anything is possible. Don’t allow anybody to project any stereotypes on you that tell you that you can’t be here, that you’re too dark or that you’re not smart enough or that you’re too dramatic or you’re too loud. You are exactly who you need to be, to be right where you are and I’m a testimony,” she said, visibly emotional. An iconic moment for the hip-hop world. Doechiii won the award as only the third woman ever, following Lauryn Hill with The Fugees in 1997 and Cardi B in 2019.
